Handgun 101

Cost: $100/Hour of instruction

Class summary: Our Handgun 101 course is designed for new and developing shooters who want to build a solid foundation in both knowledge and practical skills. This class combines classroom instruction with hands-on range time for a complete learning experience. In the classroom, students will cover the fundamentals of handgun operation including firearm parts, the differences between semi-automatic pistols and revolvers, proper grip, sight alignment, and types of reloads. We will also address accuracy techniques, essential drills, and common malfunctions. On the range, participants will apply what they’ve learned through guided practice, including shooting from low ready and from a table, engaging basic targets, working through reloads, and running fundamental drills to reinforce safe and effective handling. The course runs approximately 4–5 hours (2 hours classroom and 2–3 hours range time) and is priced at $100 per hour, with the final cost depending on class length.
